I recently did a post about the gorgeous cards and memory books produced by Immortal Visions and I was so attracted to Melissa Walker’s creations, that I commissioned a memory book for my hen weekend photos.
I was blown away by what she went away and created. She has created something beautiful and unique to my vintage tea party.
Dream Dressings is a family fun venue dressing business based in the West Midlands.
They first came to my attention when I stumbled across their photos of a black and purple themed wedding.
Their dressings are striking and classy and if you can’t see a package that quite suits you, they also offer a bespoke package so you get exactly what you want.
I’ve been coming across some fantastic peacock themed wedding ideas lately so I thought they deserved their own post. The thing with such a colourful theme, it’s probably wise to go easy on the feathers and the teal or it could quite easily go into overkill.

I’ve been in a bit of a steampunk mode since becoming thoroughly absorbed by Gail Carriger’s Parasol Protectorate novels, so I’ve been hunting the internets for fabulous steampunky wedding themes.
I came across this series of book covers by Nekro for a series of steampunk novels by Liesel Schwarz that I thought were wonderfully striking and I could just imagine them printed up and being used for funky decor.
Now, without further ado, here are various items that caught my eye….
The amazing Romantic Threads have a whole range of Steampunk Gothic Victorian gowns that are quite breathtaking.
KMK Designs have some cool steampunk outfits. Their dresses are also available in a variety of fabrics and colours. Custom design is also an option.
Steampunk Bazaar have a variety of dresses for a steampunk themed wedding.
The rest of their website is a treasure trove of steampunk accessories.
Not that I need an excuse to look at Demonia shoes, but they have a wide range of steampunk themed boots and shoes. Here are just some of my favourites.
This stunning bouquet can be made to order from Ditsy Bride.
They also make these stunning steampunk corsages.
And what about this darling wand for your flower girl?
As usual, Etsy is a gold mine of steampunk themed jewellery and should be easy to find something suited to your tastes.

I’ve recently seen some lovely ideas for preserving wedding flowers. Drying and pressing flowers has long been a way of preserving your wedding flowers, but I really love the idea of framing your whole bouquet to display.
Precious Petals are a family run business based in Bramley, near Basingstoke and Reading.
They were asked to preserve the wedding bouquet for the Countess of Wessex, and offer a personal touch for all of their customers, royalty or not.
Flowers can be pressed or presented three dimensionally to stunning effect.
They can even be presented as a beautiful paperweight.
In the US, Mountain View Freeze Dry present wedding bouquets in stunning frames, complete with a photo from your wedding day, or even with your toasting flutes.
A bride’s bouquet is such an integral part of her whole ensemble and I opted for silk roses as I really wanted to be able to keep my bouquet as a memento of the day. Being able to freeze dry and preserve your bouquet in this way is both beautiful and convenient.
For the study, or as a table centrepiece, these flower domes are gorgeous.
Now your wedding flowers can be timeless.
