Wedding Post Boxes

I love wedding post boxes. They’re such a lovely idea for people to drop in their well wishes for the happy couple. I’m very sentimental when it comes to letters and cards. There are some beautiful damask wedding post boxes at Creative Bridal Solutions, including their range of three tier boxes, perfect for the larger wedding party, and for the more intimate wedding party, some gorgeous round and square boxes.

Our friends made us a wedding post box that matched our theme and it also doubled as a holder for our confetti cones!

There are some lovely butterfly themed wedding card box, guestbook and pen sets at Aphrodite Brides on eBay, available in a variety of colours to fit your theme.

They also sell wishing trees, complete with butterfly shaped tags for guests to write their well wishes on and hang on the tree.

How about a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party post box? I love this by Designs to Treasure.

For the vintage wedding, these pretty birdcage card holders by Southbury Treasures are stunning.

Or how about a card box suitcase? Love this idea!

….and for the goth couple setting up home together, look at this post box and newspaper holder by Black Country Metal Works!

Arriving in Style

Most ladies have grown up imagining arriving at their fairytale wedding in a horse drawn carriage and there are some gorgeous Victorian carriages available for hire, such as Horsedrawn Occasions in the West Midlands. They have a variety of coaches available.

They even have a range of Cinderella carriages if you’re having a princess or fairytale themed wedding.

They offer a bespoke and personal service, which includes a trial run of the journey, complimentary champagne, and if your ceremony is being held at the same location as your reception, they will take the bride and groom on a short drive to savour their recent nuptials and champagne.

For the all out Gothic wedding celebration, you can hire a fabulous limousine from Gothic Limousines.

They operate nationwide and tailor their service to meet your requirements.

As their website states “knock them dead on arrival!”

Our friends hired this limo for their wedding and it must have been a feast for the eyes for their wedding guests.

Bustles and Burlesque

Having a Moulin Rouge/burlesque themed hen weekend or wedding? There are some gorgeous bustles and sexy corsetry out there to kit yourself out in.

There are some really cute bustle skirts and corsets available at FairyGothMother.

For the more budget conscious, there are some gorgeous colourful corset dresses and tutus available from Love Burlesque.

The tops are plastic boned so they aren’t for the serious corset wearers who are after steel boned waist cinchers, however the website is very clear about the plastic boning and advise how best to fasten the corset tops. They also have a selection of steel boned corsets.

Their range of tutus and skirts are very cute.

There’s also The Burlesque Boutique for a wide range of burlesque frills at a reasonable price.

Hallowe’en Hilarity

I love these Gothic/Hallowe’en themed wedding cards by Night Moth. They would be a great addition for the Goth couple who are looking for a more lighthearted and fun aspect to their Gothic celebration. They would make striking invitations, thank you cards or anniversary cards.

I love the humour and the designs are just really cool and fun.

The A5 cards have a glossy finish, are blank inside for your own message and are supplied with a black envelope.

Romantic Gothic Gloves

My, but I love the internet for discovering independent makers and sellers of gothic finery such as these elegant and striking fingerless gloves.

These beauties are made by Tristania and sold at her DaWanda shop.

Her product are hand sewn and available in a variety of colours and styles. She creates her clothing for Hallowe’en, Cosplay, burlesque and weddings.

If you wanted the more traditional white wedding but still want a touch of gothic elegance, there are a range of beautiful white and black gloves.

Gothic and Burlesque cocktail and top hats

If you’re looking for accessories to add that extra touch of class, then have a peek at these gorgeous hats produced to order at Gothic Hats.

I love the rose and butterfly detailing and the lace really adds that sense of occasion.

If you’re having a steampunk, Victorian, burlesque or gothic wedding then any of these designs would elegantly complement your theme, especially with the lovely lace veiled hats.

All designs are one of a kind and made to order.

Perhaps you’re just looking for something to complete your outfit for Hallowe’en or a gothic festival like Whitby Goth Weekend.

I also love the cocktail, mini top hats and pill box hats designed and made by Maria Flynn at Emerald Angel. She has a wide range of hair accessories perfect for the burlesque or rockabilly beauty.

All her designs are handmade to order and whatever design you choose, it’s sure to add a touch of glam to your outfit.

Maria also takes commissions so you could have something truly unique for your special occasion.

She also has various clothing items, accessories and jewellery so do check out her gorgeous website.
